HDFC Bank among top 100 most valuable global brands in 2015

According to a survey named BranZ List compiled by Millward Brown, a global research agency, private sector lender HDFC Bank has managed to place it among the top 100 most valuable global brands. The list includes giants like Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM and Facebook. HDFC Bank is ranked at 74th position and it is the only Indian entity in the top 100.  As per the report, the bank is the India’s most valuable brand with a value of USD 14 billion.

  1. Apple with a brand value of USD 246.9 billion
  2. Google with a brand value of USD 173.6 billion
  3. Microsoft with a brand value of USD 115.5 billion
  4. IBM with brand value of USD 93.9 billion
  5. Visa with a brand value of USD 91.9 billion
The Top 5 Global Brands among the banking sector
  1. Wells Fargo – 16th position with a brand value of USD 59.3 billion
  2. ICBC – 22nd position with a brand value of USD 38.8 billion.
  3. HSBC – 35th position with a brand value of USD 24 billion
  4. RBC Royal Bank – 36th position with a brand value of USD 23.9 billion
  5. China Construction Bank with a brand value of USD 22 billion.
