Gujarat government has declared a ban on usage of plastic in the state for the first time. After hoisting the National Flag at the 69th Independence Day ceremony at Lunavada in Mahisagar district, Chief Minister Ms Anandhiben Patel has tweeted about the ban.
Points to Note
- The main aim of this ban is to protect the environment, cattle health and also to maintain cleanliness.
- The state have already banned use of plastic bags thinner than 40 microns, this is the first time to announce this kind of a ban.
- Apart from this, the chief minister has made seven more announcements like new colleges, skill development centers, increase in pension for freedom fighters and also for widows, irrigation projects etc.
