GOI allocates Rs 5000 crore for development of AYUSH

The Government of India has allocated a total of Rs. 5,000 crore for the growth of Department of AYUSH. Union Minister of State for AYUSH Sripad Naik has launched an independent National AYUSH Mission aimed at capacity building for the sector. The Minister, while launching the mission, said that the GOI is considering to observe National Ayurveda Day. He also added the main objective of the mission is to create a centre of excellence for Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy independently.
