FSSAI orders testing of branded noodles, pasta, macaroni

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on 8th June 2015 ordered testing of various noodles, pasta and macaroni brands, including Top Ramen, Foodles and Wai Wai, manufactured by seven different companies to check compliance of norms.

The food regulator had recently termed maggi as “unsafe and hazardous” for human consumption.

As per FSSAI order, the companies whose products have been listed for testing are

  1. Nestle India
  2. ITC
  3. Indo Nissin Food Ltd
  4. GSK Consumer Healthcare
  5. CG Foods India
  6. Ruchi International
  7. AA Nutrition Ltd.
