Four Indian Wrestlers have won Gold at the International Wrestling tournament held in Sassari City, Italy. The Winners are Yogeshwar Dutt in 65 kg division, Praveen Rana in 70 kg division, Amit Kumar in 57 kg division and  Narsingh Yadav in 74 kg division. Other Indians in the fray were Mausum Khatri (97kg) and Hitender (125kg). Yogeshwar won the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics in 60 kg division. After World Wrestling Federation introduced variations in the weight categories at the end of year 2013, Yogeshwar decided to fight on 65 kg division.

• Yogeshwar Dutt was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013.
• He won Gold Medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow and 2014 Asian Games at Incheon, South Korea.
• In 2012, he was conferred with Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by Government of India.
