Foreign Investment Promotion for Korea appoints Pawan Goenka as Ambassador

Pawan Goenka, Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra has been appointed as Honorary Ambassador of foreign investment promotion for South Korea.  The appointment was made after Korea-India CEO Forum in Seoul which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Korean President Park Geun-hye.

As Honorary Ambassador, His Functions shall include:

  1. Goenka will promote economic ties between India and Korea.
  2. He will advise corporate India on potential investment opportunities in South Korea

About Pawan Goenka:

  1. Dr. Pawan Goenka is the Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra.
  2. Dr. Goenka joined Mahindra in October 1993 as the General Manager, R&D.
  3. He was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for the automotive sector in April 2003.
  4. Dr. Goenka is the past President of SIAM, Society of Automotive Engineers India, and ARAI Governing Council.
  5. He is also a National Council member of CII, and Chairman of Board of Governors of IIT, Madras.
