Pawan Goenka, Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra has been appointed as Honorary Ambassador of foreign investment promotion for South Korea. The appointment was made after Korea-India CEO Forum in Seoul which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Korean President Park Geun-hye.
As Honorary Ambassador, His Functions shall include:
- Goenka will promote economic ties between India and Korea.
- He will advise corporate India on potential investment opportunities in South Korea
About Pawan Goenka:
- Dr. Pawan Goenka is the Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra.
- Dr. Goenka joined Mahindra in October 1993 as the General Manager, R&D.
- He was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for the automotive sector in April 2003.
- Dr. Goenka is the past President of SIAM, Society of Automotive Engineers India, and ARAI Governing Council.
- He is also a National Council member of CII, and Chairman of Board of Governors of IIT, Madras.
