England’s Jonathan Trott retires from International Cricket

England batsman Jonathan Trott has announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect after a disappointing tour of the West Indies. The 34 year old batsman returned to the England side last month after an extended break from the game due to a stress-related illness. In his last test-series against West Indies, Trott scored a meagre 72 runs, including three ducks, at an average of just 12. Trott one of the most consistent performers in a side that climbed to the top of the world test rankings. He was well known for his ability to score runs in any situation.
