Emami Buys Kesh king for 1651 Crore

FMCG, Emami have announced to acquire ayurvedic hair and scalp care brand Kesh King on 2nd june 2015 for Rs 1,651 crore.  Emami CEO, N H Bhansali said told that the acquisition shall be funded by a optimum mixture of surplus funds, short-term and long-term debt.

These days Emami is mainly indulge in expanding their market. Since 2014, they have aquired many competitors globally.

Previous acquisition of FMCG:

  1. Australia-based Fravin Pty, along with its three subsidiaries for an undisclosed sum.
  2. It acquired sanitary-napkin brand ‘She Comfort’ from Royal Hygiene Care in an undisclosed  deal.
  3. The company also acquired Zandu brand in 2008 for Rs 700 crore.
