Dilwar Singh of Haryana wins Pedal for Kashmir cycling race

Haryana’s Dilawar Singh has defeated local hero Mohammad Akbar Khan and win ‘Pedal for Kashmir’ cycling competition held along the banks of Dal Lake. Another local cyclist Mohammad Adil Teli finished third in the race.

In the under-19 category for Boys, Mohit Kumar won the first prize followed by Wahid Ahmad Ganie and Amir Sadiq Gojri in second and third place respectively. In the girls under-19 category, Komal Deshmuk from Maharashtra, beat local girl Bushra Ali to the first position.

The race was also held for Under-12 category for both boys as well as girls. The Pedal for Kashmir cycling competition was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP). In the event, more than 3000 cyclists have participated. The race was flagged off by Director General of Police K Rajendra Kumar. State Cabinet minister Altaf Bukhari distributed the prizes for the winners.
