1. Arvind Kejriwal to attend C40 Summit in Denmark next month
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will attend the C40 Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, next month and speak on his government’s experience in lowering pollution, including the Odd-Even scheme.
According to the statement, the Chief Minister will join leaders of several cities such as New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles and Berlin to deliberate on the climate crisis impacting the world at the summit from October 9-12.
2. PM Modi arrives in New York for 74th UN General Assembly session
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived to participate in the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly after delivering an electrifying address in Houston to over 50,000 members of the Indian diaspora at a mega community event also addressed by President Donald Trump.
Mr. Modi arrived at the J K International Airport a packed bilateral and multi-lateral agenda over the next five days including nine key speeches at high-level summits and plurilateral engagements during the UN General Assembly session and on its sidelines.

4.AIIB to invest $1.09bn in ASEAN countries
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will invest in six projects with 1.09 billion U.S. dollars in countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), AIIB President Jin Liqun has said.
The bank will play a bigger role in promoting interconnectivity between China, ASEAN and other Asian countries, Jin said at the 16th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, the capital city of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
5.RBI approves reappointment of Shyam Srinivasan as Federal Bank CEO
The Reserve Bank of India has approved the re-appointment of Shyam Srinivasan as the Managing Director and CEO of Federal Bank for another year, giving him a full decade as the head of the private sector lender. His re-appointment is with effect from September 23 this year until September 22, 2020, the bank said in a regulatory filing.
6. International Day of Sign Languages, 23 September 2019
According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are approximately 72 million deaf people worldwide. More than 80% of them live in developing countries. Collectively, they use more than 300 different sign languages.

7. Carolina Marin And Kento Momota Claim Top Honours In China Open 2019
According to reports, It was a stellar event at the China Open with Carolina Marin and top seed Kento Momota claiming honours at BWF China open. Japanese world champion Kento Momota was the top seed in men’s singles game and Carolina Marin defeated her Taiwanese counterpart to win the China Open championship.
8. Petronet to invest $2.5 billion in US company for LNG supply
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big push to securing India’s energy interests when he met CEOs of 17 global energy companies in Houston and the two sides signed an MoU for Indian investment of $ 2.5-billion LNG supply from the US for four decades.
9. India to invest Rs 230 crore in World Expo pavilion
India will invest Rs 230 crore in constructing the India Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai next year and plans to raise Rs 200 crore from participation charges, publicity and sponsorships. Investment would be in construction, curation, interiors, maintenance and security.
10. Rajiv Kumar Vyas takes charge as GM of Rail Wheel Factory
Rajiv Kumar Vyas, has taken charge as General Manager, Rail Wheel Factory. Prior to this, he was holding the post of Adviser – Railway Stores Railway Board. Vyas, a civil engineer from IIT Delhi has a Master’s degree in Business Administration -Finance and belongs to the 1982 batch of the Indian Railways Stores Service.
11. Tsonga Triumphs At Moselle Open In Metz
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga became the first man to claim four titles at the Moselle Open in Metz. The 34-year-old Frenchman fought past Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia, who was aiming to capture his maiden title on the ATP Tour, 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 6-3 in singles final.
