1. Tamil Nadu’s Rising Fintech Paysharp Secures RBI Authorization

Paysharp, a new company from Tamil Nadu, has reached an important milestone in India’s financial technology (fintech) space. On August 30, 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) gave Paysharp its final approval, securing its place in India’s growing payment system.

Paysharp first got noticed by the RBI in December 2022 when it received preliminary authorization. This initial approval allowed the company to grow and start building its services.

On August 30, 2024, Paysharp received the final authorization from the RBI, marking the end of its regulatory journey. With this approval, Paysharp is now one of only 36 officially authorized payment aggregators in India, a select group of companies allowed to handle payments on behalf of businesses. This positions Paysharp as an important player in India’s payment system.

2. Indian Coast Guard Participates in 20th HACGAM
