1. Bodybuilder Chitharesh Natesan crowned as Mr Universe 2019

Chitahresh Natesan who is a 33yr old former hockey player turned bodybuilder. He is known as the ‘Indian Monster’ by bodybuilding circles. He became the first Indian to win Mr. Universe (Pro) 2019 in the 90kg category at the 11th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship(WBPF) in South Korea. India secured the second position in the team championship category at the same event.

The title of IBFF Mr. World (Overall Champion category 2018) and a recipient of Professional Body Building Card by IBFF. He awarded Mr. Asia, 2017 (Overall Category) four times Mr. India Champion for the years 2015-2018. I also won the title of Mr. Delhi four times for the years 2015-2018.

2. Vijender Singh claims 12th successive professional win

Indian boxing star Vijender Singh for Ghana’s former Commonwealth champion Charles Adamu claim his 12th successive win and ensure that his four-year unbeaten streak in the professional circuit. The 34-year-old former Olympic bronze-medallist prevailed unanimously in an eight-round super middleweight contest against the 42-year-old.

Indian’s right hand just too precise and powerful to handle for Adamu who looked intimidated. Adamu came into this fight with an experience of 47 bouts of won 33. The Ghanian is an Olympian and won a bronze medal for his country in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur during his amateur days.

3. Global Bio-India Summit: India’s first largest biotechnology conference

India’s largest biotechnology conglomerate was held in New Delhi between 21 November, 2019 and 23 November, 2019. The event was organized by the Department of Bio Technology under Ministry of Science and Technology along with BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) and CII.

4. ETVAX: Potential Diarrhea vaccine developed in Sweden

The researchers of University of Gothenburg in Sweden have developed a potential Diarrhea vaccine candidate, named as ‘ETVAX’. This vaccine has been proved safe and effective in an early-stage clinical trial in Bangladesh. The findings were published in Science journal, The Lancet.

5. November 23: Poonch Link up Day celebrated by Indian Army

Indian Army on November 23, 2019 commemorated the Poonch Link-up Day. The even was organized to pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lived defending Poonch during the conflict in 1948

6. 2.2% of Indian population suffering from disability, says NSO survey

Overall percentage of persons with disability in the population was 2.2% during July 2018 to December 2018 in the country, showed a National Statistical Office (NSO) survey report on Saturday.

The NSO, a wing of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, has conducted a Survey of Persons with Disabilities during July 2018 to December 2018 as a part of 76th round of National Sample Survey (NSS).

7. Ocean Dance Festival begins in Cox’s Bazar

Ocean Dance Festival of Bangladesh is going to be held in the longest sea beach, Cox’s Bazar from 22nd-25th November. World Dance Alliance will organize the show “Dashavatar” in association with cultural organization Dhriti Nartanalaya on 24th November, 2019 in the district. Dashavatar – means 10 different forms of Hindu God “Lord Krishna.”

8. IndiaFirst Life Insurance partners with Spice Money for ‘Insurance Khata’ product

IndiaFirst Life Insurance has entered into a strategic & technical partnership with Spice Money, a tech-led financial services provider, for distribution / marketing of ‘insurance khata’ through the latter’s platform, which has nearly 3 lakh customers.Insurance Khata is targeted at the informal/agriculture sector.

9. J&K achieves highest road length under PMGSY in 2019

During 2019-20 fiscal, around 11,400 kms of different road projects against the total sanctioned length of 19,700 kms. Also against sanctioned 2,214 habitations, 1,838 have been provided connectivity as on date including 101 connected this fiscal. Under Central Road Fund, 88 schemes have been completed.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stressed upon the importance of Agricultural allied businesses for the development of farmers in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra inaugurating the 11th edition of Agro Vision- 2019, at Reshimbag Ground of Nagpur.

11. India’s urban unemployment rate drops to 9.3%- Jan-March 2019

As per PLFS Survey by NSO, urban unemployment rate dropped to the lowest level in four quarters at 9.3 per cent during January-March 2019. Also, urban unemployment rate (UR) was 9.9% in April-June 2018, 9.7% in July-September 2018 & 9.9% in Oct-Dec 2018.
