1. NASA’s Magellan Mission Discovers Ongoing Venus Volcanic Activity
It has been proven for the second time that Venus has had recent volcanic activity by looking at old data from NASA’s Magellan probe.
Scientists in Italy have found changes to the surface that show new rock formations formed by lava flows from volcanoes that erupted while the spaceship was in orbit.

NASA’s Magellan project, which was run by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California from 1990 to 1992, made maps of 98% of Venus’s surface.
