1. Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises Day is celebrated on 27 June

Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises Day is celebrated on 27 June. United Nations observe 27 June as the Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises Day.  Micro, small and Medium-sized businesses celebrated this day in recognition of their work in local and global economies.

These enterprises, which generally employ fewer than 250 persons are the backbone of most economies worldwide. International Trade Center, United Nations launch its flagship report: “The SME Competitiveness Outlook 2019: Big money for small businesses”.

2. Max Bupa partners with MobiKwik for health insurance

Max Bupa partners with MobiKwik for health insurance. Max Bupa, a standalone health insurer entered into a strategic partnership with MobiKwik, a fintech platform to promote affordable and convenient bite-sized group health insurance products for MobiKwik’s 107 Million customers across the country. Max Bupa come up with a slew of innovative offerings, including a Cancer cover at a nominal premium.

3. Arvind Kumar appointed as Director of Intelligence Bureau

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved appointment of senior IPS officer Arvind Kumar as Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) for a fixed tenure of two years. He will succeed Rajiv Jain whose tenure comes to an end on 29 June 2019.

4. India proposes to host 2023 IOC session

India has proposed to host 2023 International Olympic Committee (IOC) session in Mumbai, which is expected to choose host city for 2030 Winter Olympics. An IOC Session: is the general meeting of members of Committee (about 100-odd), held once in a year, in which each member has one vote. It is the supreme organ of IOC and its decisions are final.

5. What is ‘goAML’ launched by UAE?

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become 1st country in Gulf to launch new anti-money laundering platform called ‘goAML’ (Anti-Money Laundering). It is a one-stop solution, launched by UAE to crack down on organised financial crimes.

It is the new anti-money laundering platform was launched by UAE’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and is developed by United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to curb organised crimes.

6. Haryana CM announces Annual Health Assistance to Loktantra Senanis

Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana has announced an annual financial health assistance of Rs.5 lakh to loktantra senanis or their spouse for treatment at private or government hospitals.

Loktantra Senanis: are people who were jailed during 1975-1977 Emergency under preventive detention laws.

7. Telangana hosts 32nd ISTA Congress

Telangana is hosting the triennial International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) Congress in Hyderabad. ISTA congress is is being held for the first time in Asia. The Congress being held from 26 June to 3 July 2019 is expected to help State to implement its plans into actions.
The eight-day conference is being jointly hosted by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Telangana government.

8. Veteran actress Vijaya Nirmala dead

Veteran Telugu actress and director G Vijaya Nirmala died at a private hospital here following brief illness, hospital authorities said Thursday.

She breathed her last at Continental Hospital in Gachibowli where she was undergoing treatment on Wednesday night. shw was 73.

9. Kohli fastest to 20,000 int’l runs, breaks Sachin, Lara’s record

India captain Virat Kohli has become the fastest batsman to reach 20,000 international runs, achieving the feat in his 417th innings during the 2019 World Cup match against West Indies today. Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, who both took 453 innings to reach the milestone. Kohli had become the fastest batsman to reach 19,000 international runs in January.

10. India topple England to become world number one ODI side

Virat Kohli-led India have toppled England to become the world number one ODI side as per the latest rankings. India are currently on top of the ranking with 123 points, leading England by one point. If India lose to West Indies, they will slip one point behind England to 121 points. New Zealand are placed third with 114 points.

11. Arvind Kumar Is New Intelligence Bureau Head

Arvind Kumar, an officer from the Assam Meghalaya cadre, headed the agency in Bihar. Before that, he looked after its administration and inquiry branches for long.Arvind Kumar, the number two at the Kashmir desk of the Intelligence Bureau, will replace Rajiv Jain at the top post.
