Why We Honor How Important Seafarers Are

Did you know that more or less everything we use has been shipped by sea? People who work at sea make sure that everything we wear and eat gets to us safely.

They are the unsung stars of trade around the world.

On Day of the Seafarer, we can say “thank you” to these people who work hard.

We appreciate what they do for the world economy and society, as well as the risks they take and the things they give up for their jobs.
