1. Gautam Adani Reclaims the Title of Asia’s Richest Person
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, has surpassed Mukesh Ambani, head of Reliance Industries, to become Asia’s richest person again.
This is a big change. After the stock prices of the public companies in Adani’s apples-to-airport conglomerate went up, this goal was reached.
Rankings of wealth and market value
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index says that Mr. Adani is the 11th richest person in the world, with a net worth of an amazing $111 billion.
On the other hand, Mr. Ambani is the 12th richest person in the world with $109 billion.
A big part of this change was the rise in Adani Group’s market value.
All Adani Group companies’ shares went up by up to 14% on Friday after the U.S. brokerage firm Jefferies said they were positive.
The company was positive about the group’s plans to spend $90 billion on capital over the next ten years, which could mean a rush to grow.
Because of this, the market value of all 10 Adani Group companies went up by an amazing ₹84,064 crore, hitting an amazing ₹17.51 lakh crore at the end of trading on Friday.
2. Real Madrid’s Historic 15th Champions League Title
The record-setting 15th UEFA Champions League title won by Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium put their name in all-time records.
With a 2-0 win, the Spanish giants showed their usual toughness and clinical edge by beating a brave Borussia Dortmund team.

3. World Bicycle Day 2024 – June 03

4. World Milk Day 2024 – June 01

6. International Sex Workers’ Day 2024 – June 02

The Roots in History
On June 2, 1975, about 100 sex workers got together at the Saint-Nizier Church in Lyon, France, to start what is now known as International Sex Workers’ Day.
They got together to talk about how upset they were about the unfair living and working conditions they were forced to bear.
There was a media campaign and an eight-day strike after this meeting.
During that time, the sex workers wanted the hotels where they worked to reopen, police abuse to stop, and the murders of their coworkers to be looked into.
Their demands were not met, and the church was finally cleared out, but this important event started movements all over Europe and the UK that made more people aware of the problems sex workers face.
7. Telangana Formation Day – June 02

NIMHANS is India’s top mental health centre. People, institutions, and groups that have made outstanding contributions to health promotion are recognized with this award.

9. Supreme Court Reconstitutes Gender Sensitisation Committee
In line with the Gender Sensitization and Sexual Harassment Regulations of 2013, the Supreme Court of India has once again set up its Gender Sensitization and Internal Complaints Committee.
The Chief Justice of India started the process of reorganizing, and Justice Hima Kohli is now the Chairperson. Justice BV Nagarathna is now a Member, and Dr. Sukhda Pritam is now the Member Secretary.

There are lawyers on the group from the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Supreme Court Advocate-on-Record Association, and the Supreme Court Bar Clerks’ Association, among others.
