1. International Arabian Leopard Day is observed on 10th February
Restricting its distribution to the Arabian Peninsula, the leopard subspecies is known as the Arabian leopard. It is one of the smaller subspecies of leopards, weighing between 25 and 40 kg.
Many areas in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, and the UAE today support this species, which was formerly common over the Arabian Peninsula.
The Arabian leopard is in grave danger due to human activities such as farming, overgrazing, poaching, and the illicit wildlife trade; there are believed to be less than 200 animals left in the wild.
The worldwide biodiversity problem is endangering ecosystems, and the fast extinction of the Arabian leopard, a representative species of the region’s biodiversity, is a stark reminder of this.
Goals of the World Health Day
In recognition of the endangered situation of this iconic animal, the United Nations General Assembly declared February 10th as the International Day of the Arabian Leopard.
The day’s purpose is to highlight the importance of biodiversity in preserving ecosystem health and reestablish the leopard as a symbol for conservation efforts.
2. World Pulses Day is observed on February 10
The 10th of February is designated as World Pulses Day annually. The 2016 United Nations International Year of Pulses (IYP) was the inspiration for the day.

4. Sikkim Becomes First Northeast State To Reinstate Old Pension Scheme For Employees
