1. Iran Allows Visa-Free Travel for Indians

A new visa-waiver scheme has been launched by Iran, making it possible for Indian citizens to enter the country visa-free for a period of up to fifteen days. The new regulations make it easier for Indian tourists to visit, and the decision was made earlier.

Visa-Free Entry: Who Is Eligible?

Only Indian citizens flying into Iran are exempt from the visa requirement. Tourists, not businesspeople or employees, are the only authorized citizens to travel. One visa-free visit every six months is permitted under the waiver, with a maximum stay of fifteen days in a row. Once in Iran, tourists cannot leave.

Four Things Travelers Are Required to Have

Iran has specified four main requirements that Indian tourists must fulfill to enter the country without a standard tourist visa:

  • Possess a Regular Passport, Not a Diplomatic One
  • Reach Iran through Air Travel
  • Stay for the Sake of Tourism Visit No More Than Once Every Six Months and No More Than 15 Days.
  • Anyone planning to enter Iran more than once every six months or stay for more than fifteen days needs to visit an Iranian consulate to get the necessary visa.

Those traveling for other purposes, including job or school, are not eligible for this visa exemption, nevertheless.

Justification for Visa Relaxation

India is one of thirty-two nations that will have their visa requirements loosened in December 2023. The end goal is to increase the number of tourists all around the globe.

Other Nations That Allow Indian Citizens to Travel Without a Visa

At present, Indian nationals can travel visa-free to approximately 27 countries. This list includes nations like Barbados, Barbados, Barbados, Barbados, Bhutan, Dominica, Haiti, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Samoa, and Trinidad & Tobago.
