1. Rajendra Prasad Gupta Appointed as Rajasthan’s New Advocate General

Rajasthan has welcomed Senior Advocate Rajendra Prasad Gupta as its new Advocate General, following the acceptance of his appointment by Governor Kalraj Mishra.

This appointment marks a major transition in the state’s legal leadership, filling the vacancy left after the change of government in December. Rajendra Prasad Gupta steps into the role previously held by MS Singhvi, starting on a new chapter as the 19th Advocate General of Rajasthan.

Born on June 4, 1962, in the village of Reed, Parbatsar tehsil of Nagaur district, Rajendra Prasad Gupta’s educational and career journey is both inspiring and commendable.

Completing his school education in his village, Gupta sought higher education in commerce, graduating in 1981, and followed it up with an LLB from Rajasthan University in 1985.

6. India Energy Week 2024: Goa gets ready for India’s largest and only all-encompassing energy exhibition and conference

The India Energy Week 2024 will be held in Goa from February 6–9, 2024, following the huge success of the 2023 event. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, opened this important event. It is the country’s biggest and only all-encompassing energy conference and exhibition.

The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, the Government of India, and the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) are both proud to support India Energy Week 2024. The event aims to be a key part of India’s energy shift goals.

7. Vyommitra to Precede India’s Gaganyaan Mission in 2024

India wants to send people into space on the Gaganyaan mission in 2025. But first, a “robot friend” named Vyommitra will fly to space later this year to test important systems before humans take off.

Within the orbit of the spaceship, this female humanoid robot can act like a person.

What Vyommitra Says

ISRO made Vyommitra, a half-humanoid robot that weighs 40 kg and is named after the words “Vyom” for “space” and “Mitra” for “friend.”

By pretending that people are on board, Vyommitra will let ISRO engineers fully test the Gaganyaan module’s safety and suitability for living on before crewed trips.

Vyommitra can use several control screens inside the orbital module. It can keep an eye on factors inside the spacecraft module, let ground control know if there are any problems, and do important tasks for mission survival.

It can also use artificial intelligence to answer questions and carry on conversations during the journey. Gaganyaan will be able to take more trips to space after she is sent there.
