1. Microsoft unveiled Phi-3-mini, its smallest AI model

When it comes to small language models (SLMs), Microsoft has described the Phi-3 as a family of open artificial intelligence models that are the most competent and cost-effective models currently available.

Language models, also known as LMs, are artificial intelligence systems that have been trained on enormous amounts of text data to comprehend and generate content that is similar to that produced by humans.

SLMs, which stand for Small Language Models, are more lightweight and efficient than LLMs, which stand for Large Language Models, and thus require less processing resources.

2. Arun Alagappan Appointed Executive Chairman of Coromandel International

One of the most prominent providers of agri-solutions, Coromandel International Ltd. (CIL), has recently announced a substantial leadership transfer.

3. Adani’s Vizhinjam Port Approved as India’s First Transshipment Hub

Vizhinjam Port, which is owned and operated by Adani Group and is located in Kerala, has been granted permission by the government to function as India’s first transshipment port.
