The National Energy Conservation Award 2023 was given to Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (CGCEL), a major player in India’s consumer electrical business.
There was National Energy Conservation Day when the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the Ministry of Power, through the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), gave the award.
A History of Excellence
This new award adds to Crompton’s long list of great accomplishments. In past National Energy Conservation Awards, the company won this prestigious award in a number of different categories, such as fans and lights.
The award event took place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Promeet Ghosh, who is the Managing Director and CEO of CGCEL, and Sachin Phartiyal, who is the Business Head for Home Electricals, accepted the award on their behalf.
The National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) honor people who have helped save energy.
The National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) are given every year to people who have made outstanding efforts to saving energy.
Since their start on December 14, 1991, these awards, given by high-ranking officials of the Indian government, have recognized outstanding efforts to save energy in many areas of the economy.
NECA has been a key force in getting businesses across the country to adopt and promote energy-saving steps.
New ideas for saving energy
In line with the government’s efforts to make homes more energy efficient, Crompton has made a huge selection of storage water heaters that are the best in terms of both technology and design.
The BEE 5-star-rated Arno Neo 3015 type stands out because it has a polymer-coated mild steel tank and a Ni Coated Copper Heating Element, among other things.
This new idea guarantees dependability, safety, and up to 46% energy savings compared to heaters with a 1-Star rating. This helps lower people’s energy bills by a large amount.
An Assurance to Use Less Energy
Two National Energy Consumer Awards (NECA) were given to Crompton in 2019 to show how committed the company is to making goods that use less energy.
The Ministry of Power’s Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) put together the awards. The 9 Watt LED bulb and the Most Energy Efficient Ceiling Fan (HS Plus type) won.
The fact that the company is on the Brand Top 75 most valuable Indian brands list for 2020, which was put out by WPP and Kantar, shows how committed it is to using energy efficiently.
