Dale Steyn became the 13th bowler to join the 400-wicket club in Test cricket. Steyn dismissed Tamim Iqbal (6) – caught by Hashim Amla at first slip in the fifth over on day one on the opening day of what is his 80th Test match.
Steyn took the fewest number of deliveries of any of the 13 members of the 400 club, and joins England seamer James Anderson (406) and India spinner Harbhajan Singh (416) as only the third active player to reach the landmark. Shaun Pollock (421) is the only other South African to have taken 400 Test scalps.
