Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the GOI will organise the ‘India International Seafood’ show in Visakhapatnam. The main objective is to boost the trade and commerce in seafood sector. The Minister laid the foundation stone of sub-office of Export Inspection Council (EIC) at Visakhapatnam.
- EIC along with its field agency, Exports Inspection Agencies, has a network of 30 sub-offices.
- They are responsible for the quality control and inspection of notified commodities from India.
