China won the World Team Chess Championship 2015

China has won the World Team Chess Championship, held in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia. China emerged champion, with 15 points. Ukraine finished runner-up with 12 points, while host Armenia was third with 11. India finished the championship at ninth position with seven points, losing the final round match 3-1 to China.

In the final round, China’s Yu Yangyi and Wei Yi defeated S.P. Sethuraman and Deep Sengupta.
