China launched a new, smaller type of rocket from its “Long March” family on 20th September 2015. The Long March-6 is a carrier rocket which uses liquid propellant. It took off from a launch base in the northern province of Shanxi. China believe that the new model will also significantly improve their ability to access space. smaller rocket will make China more competitive in the lucrative market for commercial satellite launches.
