Central Government Launches ‘Anuvadini’ App for Multilingual Education

The materials will be prepared by the Indian Constitution’s 8th Schedule languages. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendations, which stress the significance of studying in one’s native tongue, this step is being taken.

Ministry of Education Important Instructions

The Department of School Education, the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have all been directed to make sure that study materials in regional languages are available.

Within the next three years, educational institutions like IITs, CUs, and NITs, as well as educational regulators like UGC and AICTE, NCERT, NIOS, and IGNOU, are required to make study materials available in Indian languages.

The National Education Policy 2020 highlights the importance of India’s multilingualism, viewing it as a valuable asset for the country’s educational, cultural, and economic growth.

The Views of Ministers

The Minister of School Education, Deepak Kesarkar, has called for more opportunities for pupils to succeed academically in their home tongue and has emphasized the need to promote multilingualism.
A two-year initiative to translate engineering, medical, law, undergraduate, postgraduate, and skill course materials using the ‘Anuvadini’ app was highlighted by Chandrakant Patil, the Minister of Higher and Technical Education.
