BJP MP from Madhya Pradesh Dileep Singh Bhuria passes away

Dileep Singh Bhuria, member of Lok Sabha from Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam-Jhabua has passed away at the age of 71. He was elected to the lower house from Ratlam (Lok Sabha constituency) in Madhya Pradesh as member of Congress from 1980 to 1998. Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party and won Ratlam seat as its candidate in 2014.

Bhuria was born in Machhaliya (Madhya Pradesh) on June 19, 1944. By profession he was an Agriculturist. Before entering politics he was the Chairman, District Central Co-operative Bank, Jhabua. In 1980, he was elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time. Totally he has elected to the lower house for six times. In earlier days of his political career, he was with Congress party and then he joined BJP. In 2002-2003, he as the National Vice President of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

After winning the 2014 LS election, he was selected as a member in Estimates Committee of the GOI and also the member of Committee on Social Justice & Empowerment, and Consultative Committee, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

He published a book titled “Aapka Apna Kanoon – PESA” based on Panchayat Upbandh (Anusuchit kshaetro par vistar) Adhiniyam 1996.

Social Activities
  • He involved himself in various social activities like,
  • Upliftment of poor adivasis and land labourers
  • Struggle against social evils like dowry and blind belief
  • Promotion of cooperative movement
  • Organization of programmes for establishment of tribal identity and leadership through Adivasi Sewa Sangh.

On behalf on India, Dileep Singh Bhuria had visited many countries like China, France, Indonesia, North Korea, Singapore and U.S.A. etc.
