Awards and honors that Terminal 2 has received in the past

In addition to this new praise, Terminal 2 has already been praised by the Indian Green Building Council, which gave it the prestigious IGBC platinum certification.

With a plan to handle 25 million passengers a year in phase 1, T2 fits with the company’s goal of combining functionality with good looks.

A Journey That Pleases the Eye: Adding Art to the Curriculum

As part of its newly launched art program, the terminal promises passengers a visually pleasing experience by using carefully chosen art and decor. This makes sure that the trip through the terminal is interesting.

Responsible design for the environment and sustainability

The environmentally friendly planning of Terminal 2, the biggest terminal in the world, which was given a platinum LEED grade by the US Green Building Council before it opened to the public, shows that the airport cares about being environmentally friendly.

It also has the prestigious platinum approval from the IGBC Green New Building Rating System, which shows how committed it is to being environmentally friendly.

Future Innovations: A Test Run of the CTX Machine

As we already said, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 (KIA T2) is going to test the Computer Tomography X-ray (CTX) machine, which will make security before boarding easier.

With this new technology, passengers will not have to take out their cell phones, computers, or other personal electronics during the pre-boarding security check. This move is in line with KIA T2’s goal of making travel easy and quick for its customers.
