Over the past four years, Messi has been honored with this accolade for the third time.
The award for the best female player in the history of FIFA was presented to Aitana Bonmati, who plays for both Spain and Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, was awarded the title of Best Men’s Manager, while Sarina Wiegman, the coach of England, was awarded the title of Best Woman Coach for a record-breaking fourth time.
During the ceremony that took place in London, Ederson, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, was awarded the title of Best Men’s Goalkeeper, while Mary Earps, the goalkeeper for Manchester United and England, was awarded the title of Women’s Goalkeeper.
