He defeated Manan Chandra by 6-3 in the men’s final round of the National Snooker Championship 2016 that took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In women’s final round at National snooker championship 2016 Vidya Pillai claimed the title by defeating Amee Kamani by 4-2. On the other hand, women’s billiards title at National snooker championship 2016 was won by Keerath Bhandaal.
