Indian teenager Aditi Ashok capped a brilliant show to clinch the Indian Open title, becoming the first woman from the country to claim a European Tour event. The 18-year-old shot an even-par 72 in the final round to win the title.
Carrying a two-stroke overnight lead, Ashok took her total score to three-under 213, one stroke clear of Brittany Lincicome of the US and Spaniard Belen Mozo who finished tied second.
- The one-shot victory at the DLF Golf and Country Club will not only get her direct entry on the Ladies European Tour (LET) till the end of 2018, the win also makes her a prime contender for the LET’s rookie-of-the-year award.

Aditi Ashok (born 29 March 1998) is an Indian professional golfer who has qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Aditi made history be being the youngest and first Indian to win the Lalla Aicha Tour School and therefore secure her Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season. This win also made her the youngest winner of a Q School for an international tour. Aditi is the first and the only Indian golfer who played the Asian Youth Games (2013), Youth Olympic Games (2014), Asian Games (2014) and Rio Olympics (2016).
Aditi won the 2016 Hero Women’s Indian Open with a score of 3-under-par 213, and in the process became the first Indian to win a Ladies European Tour title
