Pulin Kumar, group senior legal and compliance director of Adidas India, has been conferred with the Indian National Bar Association’s General Counsel of the year 2015 – Retail Award. Former law minister and senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani presented the award to Kumar at a ceremony on November 26 on the occasion of INBA’s Annual International Conference-66th National Law Day.
Kumar received the award for his contribution to the legal field in and outside the country for more than 21 years. INBA has constituted 12 awards categories for general counsel in the field of technology, infrastructure, real estate, retail, corporate, privacy and data protection, law firm and insurance.
The Indian legal community’s premier body also recognises top women lawyers, young women general counsel, young emerging lawyers and global general counsel through its annual awards. The nominations for the awards are based on a feedback INBA undertakes through general counsels, lawyers and clients. The jury panel for consideration of the awards constitute renowned people from the legal field.
