Mecca will be having the World’s largest luxury hotel by 2017. The hotel will be built on a 4.6 million square feet area. The hotel has been named Abraj Kudai and will cost about $3.6 billion, featuring 10,000 bedrooms, 70 restaurants. The hotel’s area is almost equivalent to 80 football fields in the United States. The hotel will also be having floors just for royals, a full-size convention centre and multiple helipads.
The Abraj Kudai was funded by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and designed by the Dar al-Handasah group. The hotel will be located just two kilometres away from Mecca.
