The International Biodiesel Day is observed on August 10 every year to create awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels. The date was chosen to mark the Research Experiments by Sir Rudalph Diesel, who for the first time in 1893 ran an engine with Peanut Oil. Diesel predicted that vegetable oil is going to replace the fossil fuels in the next century.
