Dracula’ star Christopher Lee dies at the age of 93

Sir Christopher Lee, known as the master of horror, has died at the age of 93. He was hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure. He died at 8.30am in morning at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

The veteran actor, was there in films from Dracula to The Wicker Man, and via James Bond villainy to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

  2. Lee initially portrayed villains and became best known for his role as Count Dracula in a sequence of Hammer Horror films.
  3. Lee received the BAFTA Fellowship in 2011 and received the BFI Fellowship in 2013.
  4. Lee died at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on 7 June 2015
