Pawan Munjal, 60, has been appointed as the new CEO of Hero MotoCorp. On 1st of June 2015, the company’s board unanimously appointed him as Chairman, CEO & Managing Director of Hero Moto-Corp in place of his father, Brijmohan Lall.
Pawan had taken over as MD & CEO in 2001 when Hero became the world’s largest two wheeler manufacturer by volumes. Since then, Hero has held on to the coveted position for 14 consecutive years. The company sold a record 6.63 million two-wheelers in 2014-15 — its highest-ever annual sales.
