AP capital Amaravati to cost over Rs 27,000 crore: Panel

An expert committee appointed for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh has suggested an estimated Rs 27,097 crore as the cost for building ‘Amaravati’. The expert committee appointed for the purpose of new capital of Andhra Pradesh had indicated Rs 10,519 crore for capital zone buildings, Rs 1,536 crore for capital zone infrastructure, Rs 5,861 crore for city infrastructure and Rs 9,181 crore for city infrastructure growth extension.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for Amaravati, near Vijayawada.
